Addition Cure Silicone Rubber Formulation Guide

Vinyl Silicone Fluids Inhibitor (Vinyl Chainstoppers)
Vinyl Silicone Resins Modifier / Hydride Chain Extenders
Hydride Crosslinkers Reinforcer: Hydrophilic Fumed Silica
  Adhesion Promoters Silazanes
  Platium Catalyst Water Scavengers

Addition-curing RTV-2 silicone rubbers are cured by mixing the two components A and B. Addition-curing RTV-2 silicone rubbers may be crosslinked at temperatures between 10 °C and 200 °C.

This product group comprises various liquid vinyl-functional silicone polymers (vinyl-fluid), SiH-functional silicone crosslinkers, catalysts and additives for the production of addition curing silicone elastomers. Formulations based on these materials cure at ambient or elevated temperatures following a platinum catalyzed addition mechanism, and can be used for a wide variety of applications, such as tooling (mold-making rubbers), encapsulation or sealing in electrical and electronic devices.

The curing characteristics can be modified by the user to achieve special requirements within a broad range of properties. Due to the low volatile content of the products and the addition type curing mechnanism, the curing shrinkage is very low and no volatiles or corrosive materials are produced during curing.

Reactive Phenyl Silicones

  Methyl Phenyl Vinyl Silicone Fluids
  Methyl Phenyl Vinyl Silicone Resins
  Methyl Phenyl Crosslinkers

Reactive Phenyl Silicones are used for high refractive index RTV-2 formulations (e.g. LED).
